Hello and welcome to Home Sweet Home!  This week I shared my July Visual Tea/Garden Journal.  This is a monthly post I am doing where I visually share what is blooming at The Charm of Home to journal it.

I also shared Botanical Style by Selina Lake (Ryland, Peters, & Small, $29.95) .  I reviewed this fabulous new book where the author shares lovely botanical interiors, diy, and style tips to bring the outdoors in for every nature lover.  Get your hands on a copy, it is great!

Home Sweet Home #277

Hello and welcome to Home Sweet Home!  This week I welcomed the season in this post, Hello Summer!  The beautiful vintage styled table topper is from Heritage Lace.    

It is summer and I decided it was a perfect time to make an easy no-churn ice cream recipe.  This was it, so easy and delicious: Vintage Buttermilk Pineapple Sherbet.

Tidepool Runner

If you can't get to the beach this summer you can bring the beach to your tea with this gorgeous Tidepool Runner by Heritage Lace.

It didn't matter what angle I took a picture of this lace runner from, it was beautiful from every view.

This is my souvenir box.  It is just a sea themed box that I save sea shells in. Do you collect souvenirs when you take a vacation?  Do you get them out and enjoy them? 

So take a break; even if you are having a staycation, and enjoy this tidepool of lace. 

The teacup pattern is Vivian by Maxcera.

Summer is next week!  Time to enjoy the ocean in my decor.

Thanksgiving Table Looks

I am going to play catch up this week with the holidays approaching and give you a few Thanksgiving tables from the past to enjoy.  I spent a good majority of last week sick and decorating for Christmas.  This week got here and I had no post in draft!  So, enjoy the links provided to look at some looks from TCOH archives.  Here is a Thanksgiving table from 2012.

I did these Thankful Book Page Leaves in 2012.   

I loved this one from 2013.  I may put this on my table again this year.

I also created a Coastal Thanksgiving look that was very shabby chic.

I will always be a pewter fan.  Here was an easy Classic Fall Mantel from 2012.

Have you thought at all about decorating yet or are you getting overwhelmed? Believe me I understand, these are overwhelming times.  I refuse to let it ruin the holidays for the children.  So I am forging on with things that seem as trivial as decorating because the children will feel comfort in the holiday display.  I pray for those children who have already had their lives robbed of normalcy.

Starfish Lace

Decorating for summer around my house means adding touches of the beach.  I have been so enamored with this Starfish Runner from Heritage Lace for awhile now.  I was contacted by them to share a few of their products and I was not shy about sharing how much I love this table runner!   

The runner is made with a starfish patterned lace that is called "crushed lace."  It is created using a unique process that gives the lace a finished vintage look.  The finish is heat set to create a look that is meant to last through repeat washings.  It is hand washable in cold water and line dry.  

The airy playful starfish design is so delightful, but it also has this aqua sea glass trim that really makes it special! 

I am taking the photos of this lace runner and I think, these are just not good enough to show off how beautiful this runner is.  So, I pulled my wooden table out and set a whole beach themed tea.  

This lace is beach cottage perfection.  

By peaking over at the window you can see they sent me matching Starfish Lace Window Tier too, but I will show you more of that in another post. 

You can channel the beach in your home decor this summer. It doesn't  matter if you live by the beach or not with this gorgeous Starfish Runner from Heritage Lace.
