A Classic Fall Mantel

I have got a classic look going on here for the fall mantel.  I am still trying to decorate with out spending any money.  So I shopped the house and pulled out the pewter.

Just a little bit of bittersweet and the mantel will stay right through Thanksgiving.

You could copy this idea with any dishes; for example, transferware, ironstone, or vintage dishes of any pattern.

Something simple and something free makes for easy decorating.

I have pewter all packed away, I never think to use it now that I've went from prim to my style, thanks for the inspiration! I might give it a try and see what it looks like!

This says warmth and welcome and what could be better for fall! I'm doing the same thing with only using what I have already for fall decor and it makes you think a little more. ~ Maureen

This looks like it belongs in a brownstone in Boston. It has that new England look. I really like this a lot!

Such a classic presentation! Looks like decor that you would find at a British country estate.
