I have made this Apple Crumb Pie before on the blog, but not with this honey caramel sauce. It really was a great idea to add it to the pie. For the original pie recipe just click the link.
Easy Honey Caramel Sauce
Ingredients:
3/4 cup granualted sugar
1/2 cup honey
1 cup heavy cream
6 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cornstarch
dash of salt
Directions:
Combine all ingredients except vanilla, cornstarch, and salt in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
Stir constantly until thickened, around 15-20 mintues, or until it comes to a rolling boil. Keep stirring continuously. Take from heat and add vanilla mixed with cornstarch and salt. Let it cool and pour into a sterilized glass jar. Store in refrigerator.
It thickened up beautifully when cooled, and then I drizzled over the apple crumb pie and made caramel apple pie with honey caramel sauce.

Your apple pie with honey caramel sauce looks just scrumptious! Your photography is really good, Sherry; I love the homey look of your kitchen. My apple pie recipe has a crumb topping; I'm planning to make one in the next week or so. It's a real favorite around here.
Have a great week, Sherry!!

Caramel honey is a very good idea and with the pie it must be so good.
