A Little More Time in the Garden...

Late Summer Tea Among the Ferns
I got back in the garden again this weekend and did some late summer clean up.  I paused to have a little tea.  I cleaned the dead ferns out of the front flower bed.  The astonishing thing is that there were ferns left that were pretty.  At this time of year my ferns are always burnt; but, we have had a lot of rain and the ferns persevered.

The mug has antique botanical ferns (circa 1860) printed all over it.  The mug is labeled Rosanna, L'Orangerie.

The Vintage Garden Tea Towel by Heritage Lace.  I picked some cosmos from the garden to go with it.  The morning glories were all closed at this time of the day.

The handy lace tray also from Heritage Lace is especially nice for heading out into the garden with some tea.
Thank you to Heritage Lace for providing the tea towel and the lace tray.  They are perfect for a late summer tea in the garden.
The Blue Ribbon Crochet Napkin was also provided by Heritage Lace.

Another lovely post, Sherry. I love the ferns and your mug is very pretty with the fern motif. Your Heritage Lace towel and lace tray are both very nice. You received some wonderful treasures from that company. Thanks for sharing and Happy September!

Blessings,
Sandi

Sherry,
Lovely lace tray, dear friend!
Tea in the Garden sounds so~o~o inviting!
Temperatures are cooling, but we've been experiencing heavy rainfall.
Hopefully, I'll be able to enjoy the out~of~doors in the coming week!
Fondly,
Pat
