Origami Butterfly Wreath

I made a fern wreath last year for summer that I really enjoyed.  Click the link for directions on how I made it.  I wanted to recycle it this year and add something to it for a different look.

From my new sponsor Wholeport.com , I ordered origami paper.  This paper is the nicest quality paper in 6 inch by 6 inch squares.  It worked beautifully and was so sturdy it gives your paper folding creations a lot of body to hold up for any project you use them on.

I created these origami butterflies to go on the wreath.  They were really pretty and I love how they turned out.  Here are the directions on how to fold the butterflies.  Looking back at the directions I can tell I made my butterflies backwards, but they are so pretty they look good from front or back.

Here is my refashioned wreath.  I just tucked some daisies in it and pinned in four of the origami butterflies.

Now my front door is all ready for summer!

The origami papers were supplied by Wholeport.com in a sponsorship program with The Charm of Home.

Sherry, you always have such clever ideas. I love this wreath, and the origami takes it to a whole different direction. So pretty.
