Origami Butterfly Wreath

I made a fern wreath last year for summer that I really enjoyed.  Click the link for directions on how I made it.  I wanted to recycle it this year and add something to it for a different look.

From my new sponsor , I ordered origami paper.  This paper is the nicest quality paper in 6 inch by 6 inch squares.  It worked beautifully and was so sturdy it gives your paper folding creations a lot of body to hold up for any project you use them on.

I created these origami butterflies to go on the wreath.  They were really pretty and I love how they turned out.  Here are the directions on how to fold the butterflies.  Looking back at the directions I can tell I made my butterflies backwards, but they are so pretty they look good from front or back.

Here is my refashioned wreath.  I just tucked some daisies in it and pinned in four of the origami butterflies.

Now my front door is all ready for summer!

The origami papers were supplied by in a sponsorship program with The Charm of Home.

Sherry, you always have such clever ideas. I love this wreath, and the origami takes it to a whole different direction. So pretty.
