Home Sweet Home #19

Welcome to Home Sweet Home!  I have been very inspired by the coastal style lately so, I restyled my candles on the mantel.

This is a really easy look that can be recreated.  The hurricane was from Pier 1 last year but any hurricane holder will work.  The sea glass colored pebbles I found at Walmart for $3 and I have just added a starfish.

Here I took another hurricane and added some sand from a beach vacation.  I think they sell sand at Walmart too.  Then I have tucked in a starfish and a shell.

Here were the candles before.

Now, here they are after.  I really liked the look.
Thanks for joining me at Home Sweet Home!
Now, I would like to feature some wonderful post from last week's Home Sweet Home.

Lisa and Tanya did an enamelware tablescape with all kinds of charm.  Check this out on their blog Take Six.

Kathy at A Delightsome Life showed us how to dry roses and hydrangeas and some other gardening tips.  Click link to view.

Mary Ann at Classic Casual Home created a fantastic office space.  Click link to view.
Debbie, at Love of the Sea took her pink peonies and gave them coastal style.  This is a look that I  really love.  Click the link to view.
Now onto today.
I will join these ladies today:
Open House Thursday  at No Minimalist Here
Show and Tell Friday at My Romantic Home
Vintage Inspiration Friday at Common Ground
Feather Your Nest  at French Country Cottage

Love the hurricanes with candles, shells and sand. You were smart to bring home sand from the beach, never thought of doing that, but I will next time :) I love your hydrangeas, any idea why mine are changing color? They're in a very shady spot, planted by previous owner, do you think that could be it? Thanks for hosting the linky party, I'm linked.

All the wonderful coastal decorating ideas that I've seen lately in blogland have been so inspiring to me. I love your mantel.

I need to click the link with the drying of hydrangeas. I tried to do some, but I don't like the way my hydrangeas turned out.

Love the idea with the starfish. I'm going to copy that one for sure. I'll have to check our Walmart for the sea glass. I've been looking for that exact shade.
