Mirror Makeover

I found this great mirror at the thrift store a few months back and I have had my eye on it.
It has a very nautical look about it with the twisted rope and the acanthus leaves.

Here is the best part of all, it was $18 and I waited it out till the yellow stickers were $1!  Yes, I paid a $1 for it!

With all fantastic transformations  it takes some time and patience.  I started out trying to spray paint it white and there was just no way.  It had way too much texture for the paint to take.

So, tonight instead of showing you the whole mirror I am giving you a peak.

I am only half way done painting.  Will show you the whole mirror on Thursday.  I have question for you. Can anyone guess how I am going to use it?  I have a special plan in mind.  Will see you Thursday...

No, I am not using a sponge. I am just using a small paint brush.

It really is a pretty mirror, Sherry, and worth spending some time on. I can't imagine where you are going to put it, but it will look great anywhere. Keep up the good work!
