This is an area out the back door where I have set up a little flower-drying shed. Many pieces from family and thrifted items come together to make it functional and lovely.
There is one thing I purchased at the beginning of the summer, and it was this little shed from Amazon. It is really similar to a shed made by a company in the UK called The Posh Shed Company. It is meant to be a small tool shed, but I had converted it into a drying shed for herbs, flowers, or vegetables that need drying out and protection from the weather, and then I don't have to spread them out on my dining room table. It did not come with cedar shake shingles, but I had a Menards rebate check, and the shingles were only $15 for a pack, and I applied them to the roof myself to get the posh shed look. It was a fun little project that turned out really nice.
I have a lot of props, and I have had them for years. I am just now starting to use them more.
Here are more thrifted treasures: an old chair that I painted green this summer. I sanded it and applied Thompson Water Seal over that.
The birdcage message center on the door was also a thrift store find, and I can use it to also dry flowers on. What thrifty treasures do you have to decorate with?

Oh how cute. I love creating little outdoor spaces with some of my garden art. Although now I’m beginning to take them in as our rainy season is becoming here. Just lovely, Sherry!
Oh wow Sherry! I could not love this more! You are so clever and what a great idea to have a place like that to dry everything. :) I love using old antique pots or crocks for planting flowers sometimes. Or once I used an old bucket for holding drinks into a fun fairy pot. So fun to be creative. I adore what you've done! It looks so charming and beautiful. 😍 Blessings xo
Oh, this is so pretty and functional also, using it for drying your herbs and flowers! Love it! Hugs, Roxy
