The Word of God

The Word of God: The Charm of Home

‘In the last days,’ God says,
‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy.
Your young men will see visions,
and your old men will dream dreams.
Acts 2:17

Let's put all of this together:

Daniel's Vision of a Messenger: God is pouring out his spirit with messages.

Jesus Speaks About the Future: Believers should always be ready.

Nehemiah: The church is the walls of the New Jerusalem.

Building the Temple in Jerusalem: Ezra: The Temple will be rebuilt again.

Cyrus The Lord's Chosen One: God qualifies the called.

Paul speaking to Thessalonians.

13 Therefore, we never stop thanking God that when you received his message from us, you didn’t think of our words as mere human ideas. You accepted what we said as the very word of God—which, of course, it is. And this word continues to work in you who believe.

The word of God is speaking to you through these blog posts. This word does work in you who believe! Isn't that awesome!
14 And then, dear brothers and sisters, you suffered persecution from your own countrymen. In this way, you imitated the believers in God’s churches in Judea who, because of their belief in Christ Jesus, suffered from their own people, the Jews. 15 For some of the Jews killed the prophets, and some even killed the Lord Jesus. Now they have persecuted us, too. They fail to please God and work against all humanity 16 as they try to keep us from preaching the Good News of salvation to the Gentiles. By doing this, they continue to pile up their sins. But the anger of God has caught up with them at last.

1 Thessalonians 2:13-16

The anger of God will catch up to the evil in this world.
Sing a new song to the Lord!
Let the whole earth sing to the Lord!
Sing to the Lord; praise his name.
Each day proclaim the good news that he saves.
Publish his glorious deeds among the nations.
Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.
Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!
He is to be feared above all gods.

The gods of other nations are mere idols,

but the Lord made the heavens!
 Honor and majesty surround him;
strength and beauty fill his sanctuary.
 O nations of the world, recognize the Lord;
recognize that the Lord is glorious and strong.
Give to the Lord the glory he deserves!
Bring your offering and come into his courts.
Worship the Lord in all his holy splendor.
Let all the earth tremble before him.
Tell all the nations, “The Lord reigns!”
The world stands firm and cannot be shaken.
He will judge all peoples fairly.
Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice!
Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise!
Let the fields and their crops burst out with joy!
Let the trees of the forest sing for joy
before the Lord, for he is coming!
He is coming to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with justice,
and the nations with his truth.

Psalm 96

All glory and honor to my Lord Jesus Christ,
Sherry

It is truly amazing that a Bible filled with words bring life and hope and are relevant for today! People will believe the National Inquiry before they believe the Bible, so silly and so sad! But I know that everyone who seeks truth will find HIM...
Always, Roxy

Very inspiring! We read about Nehemiah, Ezra and Cyrus (which is such a huge testimony to the truth of the Scriptures -- it is amazing!) this last year in our homeschool. Such gems are in those books. Also, as farmers, I really appreciate the verse in the Psalm you shared -- "Let the fields and their crops burst out with joy!"

Beautiful!

Love,
JES

His word never returns void. The hope and assurance that we have in Him, communicated through His word, daily, is the strength we need to carry on despite our circumstances. Have a blessed week, Sherry!

It is mind boggling at how the Word of God speaks to us in the here and now just the same as it did so many many years ago! Thank you, friend, for sharing this at #MomentsofHope!
Blessings and smiles,
