Wise Owl Tea

Wise Owl Tea: The Charm of Home
It's back to school time and I am having a little dessert with my tea today.

Granny Cake: The Charm of Home
This cake is called Granny Cake.  I love easy old-fashioned recipes like this.  It had pineapple and walnuts and the texture of bread pudding. I only put half of the milk topping on it.  I didn't want it to be so gooey.

The tea mug is by Creative Tops the pattern is Owls.

There are even little owls on the inside rim.  So what is wisdom?  Do we get it at school? Or do we get it with life experience?  What do you think?  I used to think that was the only two sources of wisdom.  I now realize that both are the wrong answer.
Here is some wisdom for you.  This was a BIG revelation to me.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take."
 ~Proverbs 5:6
The wisdom of God will only be given to you if you are seeking the Lord.

The cake looks so good and I see it does not have alot of ingredients. I love baking, but sometimes you have to add alot of spices and that cost alot to make. Love the little owl teacup, so cute.

The Lord's wisdom is the only true wisdom and the one we should follow! This cake looks and sounds amazing. I want a piece with my coffee right now! My daughter would love to have your owl mug :-)

I like a simple cake like your Granny Cake and will remember your tip about reducing the milk. Thank you!
The mug is adorable and would make whatever is in it taste great.
