I am having tea today with pink roses for Breast Cancer Awareness. October is breast cancer awareness month. I think every one I know has someone they know, that is dear to them, that has had cancer in some form or another. It helps to raise awareness of this so we take the initiative and seek solutions to put an end to this disease.
All weekend I was clipping fresh herbs from my garden and drying them in the dehydrator. I couldn't believe the difference in my fresh dried herbs and the stored herbs I had from the grocery. Fresh herbs are "hands down" much better! I dried a bag of parsley for my Mother and took it to her today and warned her to not flash it around in case some one thought we were peddling something other than herbs. Ahem...

Do you like my new teacup? I got it from Nancy at Nancy's Daily Dish. If your looking to add to your transferware collection she has the nicest collection to choose from.
I have long wanted a brown transferware teacup and I couldn't be happier with this beautiful pattern.
This teacup is made by Royal Staffordshire and the pattern is Charlotte. The backstamp is almost as pretty as the pattern.
It was threatening to freeze this weekend so that is why I gathered all the herbs out of the garden and I picked some roses. It didn't freeze, so I will keep harvesting them right up until it does. There is something so bittersweet about the last beautiful rose I get to enjoy from the garden.

She does have the prettiest transfer ware, and she lives here in Tulsa. You always have the most elegant and romantic vignettes and photos.

Beautiful photos. I love the tea cup.
A pink tea time is very appropriate for October.
Your tea cup is beautiful. I love the pattern and you are correct the stamp is as pretty and unique as the pattern.
It is getting chilly here too. Harvesting and drying the herbs is such a blessing. I am sure they are much more flavorful and make everything so much more delicious.
The last rose of summer is very bittersweet. Blessings, Catherine
Bonjour,
Un thé dégusté dans un jolie tasse est toujours excellent !... Très joli service.
Gros bisous ♡
I love you beautiful brown trasfer set. We had some cold temps here too and I am not looking forward to more cold weather, but it is that time of the year.
This is such a sweet vignette, Sherry! It's still quite warm here, and I'm typically a coffee diva, but there is just something about Fall that makes me want a cup of tea. This is a lovely tribute to breast cancer awareness.
Hi Sherry,
As always, your photos and vignettes are just beautiful, and what a wonderful reason to post! My sister n laws Mother died of breast cancer so it's close to our family.
Thank you for the sweet shout out. You chose a perfect pattern. Charlotte is a favorite. I'm going to pin and share on my FB page too~

Sherry, this is such a lovely post and I wish you could get it linked up so the ladies could see it. Love your new brown transferware teacup! Nancy has so many lovely patterns to choose from and of course I am always swooning over her red. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day.
Blessings,
Sandi
Beautiful post, Sherry, and yes, I do like your new teacup. :) I like brown transferware; I think it looks elegant, and you don't see it so often as the the blues and reds. Your pink roses are so pretty and a good way to remind us of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Your fresh herbs sound wonderful; I agree that their taste is far superior to the ones from the grocery store.
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful week!
Hugs,
Denise at Forest Manor
I love transferware, and Charlotte is a favorite! Just gorgeous! Thanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Oh, why did I drop by?! Now I will have to check out that shop! Love transfer ware, and your new cup is so beautiful! I love my herbs, too, and need to get going before the frost gets them. I agree, so much better than store bought in a jar.
Hello: I love your new tea cup. Brown transfer ware is so pretty. Have a wonderful week. Always a pleasure to visit your fine home. Sending hugs your way! Martha
What a beautiful post and tribute. I have that same pattern.. One in blue and one in purple. It is my very favorite.
Have a wonderful weekend.
