I found this teacup recently and I am wondering who made it. It is very Limoges like. I can't tell if it would be French or Austrian. It is more than likely an antique and hasn't got a single chip, crack, or discoloration of any kind.
It has blue forget-me-nots on the front and what seem to be, maybe daffodils, on the side.
The gold leaf is somewhat mysteriously painted on one half of the cup and saucer. Maybe worn off ? It has no makers mark on the bottom but one hand painted number in gold leaf.
The teacup is a bit old fashioned and quite pretty. Does anyone have a guess of who made it?
I am growing very fond of it but, it would make a very nice gift!

It's a lovely feminine teacup and I like the pattern. If anyone would know the origin, it would be Martha.
The teacup is lovely. All I can say is that does not belong to the usual "Mysosotis" (= Forget-me-not) Limoges pattern. But the same flower could have been used on other patterns.
Hello Sherry, your images here are so wonderful! I love the way you have treated them. The tea cup looks Austrian, or maybe German to me. It is truly lovely, and a mystery as to why it is painted like that. There must be a story there!
