Spring Mantel 2013

I went with the farmhouse style for the spring mantel.  I always find this mantel hard to photograph because it is so dark and it isn't near a source of natural light.

You can never go wrong with ironstone, it looks good no matter what the season.  Nothing says spring though like green and white.  Do you like my vintage Ovenex baking pans?  I need to find something to bake in them and do a photo shoot.   They have so much texture they look great in food photography.

Dear Sherry,
although the the darkness of the mantel, the decoration looks very springlike and fresh!

I like how the baking tins add a little bit of shimmer to a very natural mantel. Lovely!

Hi Sherry,
What a dear you are...I appreciate every one of your thoughtful comments. You are one busy gal and, yet, you always make time to stop by and visit my blog.
Thank you so very much!

Your mantel is perfect for this time of year. So many bloggers are celebrating all things country and farmhouse this Spring. I have an Ovenex loaf pan, cupcake and cake pan that were from the Home Economics kitchen at the country school where my Mom taught. They replaced all the wonderful "old stuff" with new things. How I wish I had taken more that was being thrown away.
Your ironstone is so fresh and striking grouped with all your country pretties.
Thank you for sharing, my friend.
Blessings,

Hi Sherry,
what a fun idea to add the vintage pans. Can't wait to see what you bake up. The white ironstone is beautiful against the dark mantle! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
