Home Sweet Home #4

Welcome to the fourth Home Sweet Home Party.   Spring is getting so close and you can feel everyone getting ready to enjoy nature's show.  I couldn't wait to get a jump on it and I went to the library to check out some books on floral arranging.  Lots of great tips and tricks in these.
This trick with the focal color in a black and white is easy and fun to play with, I'll show you this trick on Monday.

This trick was just using the natural light from the window till the picture is almost nothing but a natural silhouette and then I also edited it black and white.

Here is the first floral book I found.  Title and author, well you can see it.

In this book I found a lot of tricks that florist use.

This was an example of a trick that was so simple. Duh! They just took floral tape, or any tape, and made a floral frog on the vase opening!  How simple and smart is that?

And here is a little inspiration picture for your Easter table.  A centerpiece of cabbage roses with cabbages and lettuce.  Isn't that smart too?'s almost spring!
I will also join:
Cindy at her blog My Romantic Home, go and visit her lovely blog.

Hello Sherry, it's so much fun joining you every week for the party. I love your post; such beautiful photos! What a great idea to get some books on floral arranging from the library; I think that's what I will do this coming weekend. There are very few flowers in my garden right now, but I expect more soon, so getting some bouquet and flower arrangement ideas would be nice.
Happy Home Sweet Home Friday!

Beautiful photography! I just bought some tulips. Sure hope they open up as pretty as yours. They're looking kind of pitiful right now.
Great tip on the tape for a floral frog! Why didn't I think of that?

Wonderful images - terrific books. Your post made me think of a book I love, A Passion For Flowers by Carolyne Roehm - If you know of her and her books - I am sure you'll understand - if you don't - you're in for a treat!

Sherry, this looks like a fabulously fun party. And I love the books you talked about. I may just have to check some of these out since I will be hosting a wedding at my home at summer's end. The bride is requesting some flower arrangements I am not familiar with. :) Have a wonderful weekend and thank so much for your visit. Come on over often.
