My house is full of boys and color but, I still adore Shabby Chic style. I have been enjoying all of the wonderful ways that I have been seeing Shabby Chic Style transform for fall on blogs. How do you put a little color in with all the soft white decor? Especially during fall which seems so "not" Shabby Chic.
Haviland & Co. Limoges, feminine beauty in a plate.
The colors of nature take this palette into fall, mixing in a natural linen tablecloth, fall flowers, and fruit.
For this fall table I used:
Limoges accent plates
Hotel Balfour dinner plate
Sherbet pattern unknown
Goblets by Icon pattern Capri
Silver by Gorham pattern English Gadroon
Vintage placemats and napkins

I think THIS is how you do Shabby Chic in the fall! I love the floral china on the more rustic pattern, and the fruit in the pewter bowl adds the perfect touch.
Elegant and feminine...love it all. The small plate with the gorgeous fruit is perfect for fall. Great idea!

This is beautiful, and you DID pull of shabby chic. (I think even more chic than shabby!!) The white on white with just the right colors is downright elegant. I love it.
This is one of the prettiest, softest and just perfect for fall tablescapes I've seen. I just love your pretty colors..I am so not a brown/orange person so I shy away from those colors...but this...I love it.
Your photos are magazine worthy..especially that first one.
Sherry, I love both the dinner plates and the accent plates - what exquisite patterns! You have fabulous silver, too. This is so elegant and pretty!
Blessings, Beth
Soooo very beautiful. I'm much like you.Love shabby chic, but I'm not able to do very much in my male dominated house. That's OK thoug....a little goes a long way:) Thanks for such a lovely post.....Blessings, Shine
So true! The colors of nature take this elegant setting right into autumn. The wonderful texture of the linen with the rich colors of the fruit really make the perfect backdrop. Beautifully done! ~ Sarah
This is proof that Shabby Chic can work in any season! I really love the lace on those napkins and the vintage placemats, and the china and the Gorham silver. I have lately ben very drawn to vintage silver, especially some of the older Gorham patterns. Very pretty! Linda

she's a beautiful girly table! i'd love to come over and chat around her! ;)
I think you figured out exactly how to do shabby chic for the fall. The fruit just adds the perfect touch. Everything is lovely. I am not sure I realized before that you are in a house of boys. They will appreciate knowing their way around an elegant table. After attending a very important banquet for work, my son who lives across the country called to thank me for teaching him manners and how to eat at a well set table. It made me laugh because I am not sure that I knew he had received the lesson! :)
You have done a lovely rendition of "Shabby Chic Fall"! I love the softness of the floral dishes and the richness of the pears...lovely!
Have a beautiful day~

What a beautiful and inviting table! Your "shabby fall look" is perfect!!
What I really like about this are the textures. I want to touch them all. You describe the table as feminine, but it would be lovely for intimate, romantic.
Isn't Haviland just the best! Your luncheon plate is so lovely, and I adore the Hotel Balfour plates...the embossing work on them is outstanding. Thank you for sharing your charming design. Cherry Kay
Shabby Chic is just gorgeous. To me it is respecting and enjoying the good old days with a splash of fun mixed in. Your placesetting is sooo pretty!

This is my first visit to your lovely blog but I will be returning. I too am drawn to the the feminine soft shades and white. I have a hutch full of antique limoges. I usually compliment with contrasting, deeper centerpiece. Your use of fruit provides this beautifully.
Deborah
This is so gorgeous!

Hi Sherry...
My friend, your autumn table is just gorgeous! I do understand how doing autumn along with shabby chic could present a challenge but I think you've done so..very successfully! And...I might add...very beautifully! I have always felt that a pretty display of fruit feels a bit like autumn. I'm not exactly sure why...but I do! Your Haviland china is gorgeous, Sherry! I also love the beautiful embossed chargers! Everything really is gorgeous...and a perfect example of what I like to call...the "softer side" of autumn!
So happy to have you join in with the Sunday Favorites party this week, dear lady! I'm sorry that I'm so late in getting by for a visit!
Warmest autumn wishes,
Chari
