Spring Tea '15

Spring Tea: The Charm of Home
To welcome spring this week I wanted to get out these teacups and have tea.  I love these teacups.  I got them online at a Goodwill.

Spring Tea: The Charm of Home
I always loved the colors and pattern on them.  They are most likely Chinese.  They have no markings.  I also love them because they have no handles.

Spring Tea: The Charm of Home
I am enjoying how my new lens works.  It will zoom in on one thing and make it so clear while the rest of the picture is blurry.

Spring Tea: The Charm of Home
I actually zoomed in on the pattern on the inside rim of this tea cup and when I got to editing I realized the flower on the left is smeared.  It was most likely mass produced and the paint was smudged when they were made.

Spring Tea: The Charm of Home
It never matters to me if something is perfect.  I always can see the beauty in it anyway.  Everything looks beautiful in this near spring light in my window.  I have noticed, when taking photos, that the best natural light is from the fall and spring. It is something about the angle of the sun in the sky.  The light is almost magical the way it glows.
Are you excited it is almost spring?  It was almost 70 here today with plenty of sunshine!

Love the teacup. What lens did you buy? I am actually beginning to shop for another one for our trip to Europe. Thanks

These cups and saucers appear to be very rare antique china. The photos are so beautiful with the use of your zoom lens. I'm glad you shared your treasures for tea time!

Gros bisous ❀ ☼ ❀

Sherry, your teacups are soo pretty! I love that they have no handles too; very unique and perfect for a Spring tea. My son who also lives in IL flew to CO on the weekend and it's even warmer there. How I wish some of that warm air would come our way. Alas, we are getting yet another storm tonight and into tomorrow. I've never been more anxious for Spring to arrive. It will take many weeks for all this snow to melt. It is a record year for snowfall. But our water table will be excellent this summer! Thanks for joining me for tea and Happy St Patrick's Day!

Blessings,
Sandi

I am excited for spring. It's chilly here in the house this morning. The rain is falling.

You always have lovely photos and such a beautiful collection of tea things.

Do drop in!
