Sweet Fall

With a severe drought in our area, I really wondered what the leaves were going to look like this year.  They were beautiful!  Probably brighter that I had ever seen them.  Nature has this beautiful way of kissing summer goodbye before winter in fall.

Hi Sherry,

Such beauty and tranquility in these photos. May the peace present in these stunning scenes, spread to those that are waiting in fear, of a natural phenomenon called Sandy!

Hope you have a pleasant week.

It is the same here! No rain most of the summer. Beautiful colors this fall! It really surprised me.

Hello Sherry, What stunning Autumn colours, your photographs are beautiful. I love Autumn colours. The leaves disappear for Winter and then the buds return in the Spring to start all over again. Isn't nature wonderful. Best Wishes Daphne

Great images, Sherry - the leaves haven't turned around here (and being a newer subdivision in north Texas, our trees aren't the best for fall color!)

Have a wonderful week!

Sherry, thank you for sharing the beautiful fall pictures. It warms my heart as I miss my Kentucky falls. The Fall in SC is not fall as I remember. Not many of the beautiful colors here.

So pretty! I was worried about the colors with the drought as well, but we ended up having great color. Pretty much gone now, though, but lasted a couple weeks :)

I heard that when there's a summer drought, autumn colors are brighter than normal because the trees are stressed which produces more color. It was a gorgeous fall this year, wasn't it, Sherry? So bright and brilliant! Sure hope that we have a nice winter, too - like last year. :) Your autumn photos are just breathtaking!! Love the one by the water. :)
