But, I will reply, 'I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God's Laws.'
Matthew 7:21 & 23
I had been reading the bible and came across these verses and asked Jesus in prayer to show me what it truly meant. I went to sleep that night and Jesus took me to an elderly couple's home. They were in their bed living out the last year of their life. They just sat there day after day. Jesus took me to a wall in their home where they had a copper pot collection. They had collected this wall of copper pots for years and hung them proudly in their home for all to see. Jesus motioned to the pots and said, " They are not of any real value, but if they had put their time and effort in a relationship with me I could have given them eternity."
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Luke 12:34
No one can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
Matthew 6:24
The next day I awoke and remembered this and wrote it down. That evening, again in prayer, I asked Jesus what else He could show me about those same bible verses. I thanked Him for last nights dream. I fell asleep and He showed me a person who was trying so hard to impress someone important (earthly importance). I awoke and He was speaking to me with these words. "Those who proclaim to know me ask, show me the way and show me the light and I say do you dare proclaim that you know me and I show you the way, for I don't know you."
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people. It is better to take rufuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.
Psalm 118:8-9
I went to sleep again that night and Jesus took me to high school. I couldn't find my locker or remember the combination to it. I didn't know my class schedule or the times I needed to be where. The heavenly angels showed up and they were trying to help me. They told me if I forget my locker combination and didn't get to class there were consequences to it. For example, they would sit me in the hall and I couldn't join class or receive a grade for that day. I began to sit down and take detailed notes on my locker, the combination, and daily schedule because I had discovered how much it mattered. Jesus told me that if we pay as much attention to Him as our daily schedules then we would reap rewards.
For we are each responsible for our own conduct. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.
Galations 6:5 & 7
Everyone who listens to these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on solid rock. Though rain comes in torrents and the flood waters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won't collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn't obey it is foolish, like a person who builds his house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.
Matthew 7:24-27
Jesus wants to know, where is your treasure? Who do you trust with it?
You are resposible for your own choices. God will not be mocked. You will reap what you sow.
Do you want to come to Jesus in heaven and have Him say,
"I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God's laws."
Matthew 7:23

Hello Sherry, I am so glad that you are sharing how important it is to invest in making time to read and ask for understanding of what the scriptures mean. The truth is so important and I have found that many things that I thought were truth were not so. But if we ask God as you did He will reveal it and I still ask for Him to keep me from error!
ReplyDeleteGood Word!!
How sad that some will hear that statement, Depart from me, I never knew you! And we know some will be deceived and they think they are Christians, but as this verse states He shows them that they were deceived!
Merry Christmas
