I am now officially waiting out winter. I have been patient. I have enjoyed the snow.... a little. We had a somewhat white Christmas, but now I am ready for some beautiful blooms and some sunshine.

I love every season & so far I've handled the extreme cold fairly well. but I do have a nice warm fire, lots of hot tea, my dogs & my sweetheart plus lots of green, growing plants and blooms inside while I enjoy the views outside. I don't mind being snowed in for awhile longer.
ReplyDeleteRoses are my very favourite. It's a shame we can't have their gorgeous blooms all year. Mine have suffered a little with the recent heat wave, but I am nursing them back and they are starting to reward me with some pretty blooms. Love your little jug x
ReplyDeleteGood Evening Sherry, I also long for Spring and the colors of green.
ReplyDeleteWe have had the windiest winter ever, and oh so dry.
The plains have their own kind of beauty.
Have a lovely week!
Blessings, Roxy
I just told one of my friend's today…."I've been really patient… but I'm getting mad." LOL I am really tired of this!
ReplyDeleteIt was 72 here today and will be 17 tomorrow.

Funny you mentioned winter in your post. Pop on over to see I did too.

Stay warm!!
Not liking this winter at all! I've had enough! It seems to be one of the coldest winters I can remember. I am ready for spring, too!
ReplyDeleteI smiled, Sherry...this is almost the end of my patience, too. And I am getting some flowers soon, even if I have to have them delivered! :)
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
The flowers are beautiful. I'm ready for Spring. Our Midwest winter is fierce.
ReplyDeleteLike Jenny, I love each season. However, I'm growing a little tired of winter about now! I hear February in Missouri may be a lot like January so when I see beautiful photos of flowers, I really appreciate them! Missing my garden too! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteI am with you! Ready for spring
ReplyDeleteSherry, I am done with winter, too! The snow keeps falling and the temperature keeps dropping. I am so looking forward to spring! :)
ReplyDeleteWell we are looking forward to wind chills of thirty below tonight and Tuesday so what do YOU think :) :) :)
ReplyDeleteNot liking to wish the days away, but it sure would be nice if winter would turn milder now and ease up on us. Sunny today, but really cold. Can't wait for spring!
ReplyDeleteOk...hang on. There is whining and ranting and complaining ahead: I am over this winter. So sick and tired of it. So depressed at all the snow, sub-zero temps, drifting roads huge snowbanks, and lack of sunshine. It is a brutal winter. Relentless and horrible. I haven't been able to get out to buy groceries OR buy my weekly roses. I'm in withdrawal. lol I either need to move south...or just bury my head in the snow and wait for spring. lol

Brrr...8 degrees here this am! I like winter but hate hearing that heater kick on - ugh!
ReplyDeleteLove the shot of the peonies - reminds me that I have a few in a box somewhere. I bought faded roses this week at the market for $1.99!
Woo Hoo!
Stay warm!

If you hadn't said...I would have thought that you had fresh flowers in your vignette. [sigh] It's only January and I think this has been the longest winter every. LOL!! The cold and snow certainly cramp my style. The upside....we has spring, summer, and fall to look forward to and I love each of those season so very much. :)
ReplyDeleteStay warm Sherry!!!!
[hugs]
Diane
