For some reason this year I am not in the mood to rush fall. I don't know if it is because we have had fall weather most of the summer or that ragweed started blooming here this year in July (normally it blooms in early September!). Anyway, I have added to the front door a late summer wreath. It has a hint of fall to come but, let's not get fall here just yet!
Are you ready for fall or are you still savoring summer?

Hi Sherry! That's a sweet little wreath you've put together. Well, it's so so hot here that I am looking forward to come cooler weather. I just don't do well in the heat and high humidity.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia :)
I'm not ready for Fall yet either. Maybe when September gets here. Cute wreath. I like the black and white check with the sunflowers.
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry,
ReplyDeleteLovely, rich fall colours and rustic crispness! But, I agree, let's try and hang on to whatever summer we have left!
Poppy
I like your wreath. The mix of the yellow in the sunflowers with the black and white check is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour wreath is wonderful and it looks so lovely on the door! Hope you can enjoy a little bit more of Summer weather.
ReplyDeleteWell, it has been so hot this summer, 114 yesterday that I am soooooooooo ready for fall and some cooler temps. Enough is enough already. I love your wreath and fall is my favorite colors . Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteI'm torn between summer and fall. I prefer the cooler weather. Love the wreath!

Very pretty wreath! Fall is my favorite time of year but I don't want to rush summer away or anything. Have a wonderful week! ~ Jamie
ReplyDeleteI am still savoring summer! It takes too long to get here to have it rush away.
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you at Seasonal Sundays.

I really like the wreath - the texture of the straw, the pop of yellow with the sunflowers, and delightful gingham ribbon. I love, love, love gingham!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are looking like Fall,,,, I am not quite ready , although excited... I love Fall...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great transitional wreath for summer to fall. I love the sunflowers!!
ReplyDeleteCan't go wrong with gingham check and sunflowers - charming! Visiting from Inspired Sunday. Have a blessed week.
ReplyDeleteloving the cooler weather this last week in the deep south and love your wreath!
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful wreath. I love sunflowers. I am ready for fall right now. We have had the worse year ever, with so much rain and hot, humid weather.
ReplyDeleteSherry, your wreath is so cute! I love seeing sunflowers this time of year. They transition perfectly for fall!
ReplyDeleteI love celebrating late summer and sunflowers are the perfect way to do that.
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
P.S. I'm not rushing fall either.
Cute wreath! : ) We are having a very temperate August which feels like September and it can go on forever...
ReplyDeleteLove your simple and pretty wreath! The sunflowers and the black and white check ribbon go so well with each other, summer with a hint of fall:) If I could hold onto a few more weeks of summer I would but alas there are signs of fall everywhere, a little too early this year I would say. Thanks for this week's party! hugs, Poppy
ReplyDeleteI like that you called it a "late summer" wreath. I'm with you! I hate to rush any season--time goes so fast already. It has been so cool here--roasting in May-early June and cool until now. We're just now really having hot weather. So summer has just kicked in. We won't get fall weather until Halloween!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I feel like the blog world moves a bit fast and I'm dragging my heels a bit. I love the idea of "late summer." It's not quite Indian Summer but gets my mind at least slowly in the right direction without feeling pressured to get out my sweaters! :) Your gingham ribbon is so sweet with the sunflowers.
ReplyDeleteLove it, Sherry...just a nice little hint of fall! Thanks for sharing at The Scoop!...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteSo very beautiful, Sherry - love the ribbon with the sunflowers! I am delighted that you shared your lovely post with A Return to Loveliness,
