I have this beautiful book, too.
ReplyDeleteSo many of the rooms just take my breath away..but not sure I could actually live in them, day in and day out. We are such casual people, living out here in West Texas.
I adore getting ideas from catalogs and mostly, BLOGS. :))
So beautiful and inspirtional!

The French inspired room looks like a wonderful book. I have been inspired by many books and magazines over the years. I still love the Romantic Homes Magazine. Cottage Living was one of my all time favorites and I still spend time thumbing through old issues. Victoria magazine and all of their books are great and of course I have learned so much and been inspired by blogs these past few months. You have inspired me to do a post, it has been over a week.
ReplyDeleteHow very pretty Sherry...I also love to see blogs to see how others decorate and the things that they make always overwhelmes me...Hugs and smiles Gloria
ReplyDeleteI love these beautiful photos and I'm going to have to find her book. You are so right, the blogs are so very inspiring.

Thank you for commenting. I really wanted to know where you guys were looking for inspiration. I also love Romantic Homes, Victoria, Country Living, and Traditional Home. That is about all we have around my neck of the woods. I recently discovered the website of Restoration Hardware and of course I love Pottery Barn. Sources have dried up somewhat at this time. Magazines I could find 2 years ago just aren't around anymore. Thanks for giving me your sources it is my best reference yet!
ReplyDeleteI have really been wanting this book but I still need some time to look at the ones that hubby gave me for Christmas. So, thanks for sharing the pictures. Isn't honeysuckle a funny name for this shade of pink?
ReplyDeleteI usually order my books from Amazon.com. They have the best prices and ship really fast. Check them out.
Oh, I love your pretty china. I'd love to have coffee with you!
XO,
Jane
You set a pretty table and I love the photos of your tulips!
ReplyDeleteI don't have that book yet but it does look inspiring. I too find lots of inspiration on all the beautiful blogs out there-yours included!
Carolyn
I love that mirror with all the crystal and candles on it!! That's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteFor decorating, I get my inspiration from blogland these days more than any place else. In fact, I've been inspired by you more than once!
What an interesting book. I drool over the pink bureau. Sherry, I do think the blogs are a great way to be inspired. There are so many creative and talented people, like yourself. Joni
ReplyDeleteYour photographs of those tulips and the tablescape with the toile and checks plus all the other elements is just stunning, and your photography... fabulous! We could all learn something from YOU!
ReplyDeleteThis book does look inspirational, and I will be sure to check it out.
Happy Tablescape Thursday to you...

ReplyDeleteI love all the natural colored wood pieces. So warm and cozy.
ReplyDeleteYour tulips look gorgeous in that silver coffeepot! They are so artfully arranged! I love the black and white linens, too. I also enjoy looking through beautiful design books!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous inspiration here! I guess I get my inspiration from other blogs, magazines, and catalogs.

Ok, I drooled all over the place. I love every picture. They are all just wonderful and such great inspiration and eye candy. The office with the deer head made me think of the theme I am going to use for the guest room. All of your comments and suggestions for the room were so wonderful. Gave me tons to think about. I also went to the sites you suggested and drooled some more. Thanks for the help, I love getting input, helps steer me in the right direction. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteLove the tulips! I get inspired everywhere. Sometimes it is in nature, it can be some item I find at a thrift store, certainly from magazines and blogs. I think if you open your eyes you can find ideas anywhere!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! I love the table.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful inspiration, also.
Your French-inspired tablescape is beautiful with the gorgeous toile table covering. Hmmmm....toile. Toile generally depicts the countryside. Countryside...rural. Hmmm...!!!Living in a rural area, I would think that you could find TONS of inspiration all around you!!! Rural areas have all the elements that take us back to a simpler time with nature all around (instead of concrete and towering buildings and honking horns!). I can't tell from your profile what age group you fall in, but I am old enough to remember when as children we let our imaginations rule our creativity. That's what I imagine rural living would inspire. Trends are cool, but I'll bet you have a TON of great ideas in your head that are just dying to get out!!! And we wanna see 'em! Have a great weekend!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh thank you for the Sherry Inspired Coffee! You have set a Beautiful table! I love the black and white check with the silver coffee pot blooming gorgeous tulips. Stunning, just stunning.

I too have this book and just adore all of the images within. I find so much inspiration just waiting within its pages.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are wonderful (no interest in the cowboy/boy room!) The dark china hutch has inspired me to look at an option for our built-in kitchen china hutch. Maybe charcoal would work with its leaded glass windows! Thanks

What a pretty book.
ReplyDeleteMy bungalow is pretty small...I can't decorate very much, but occasionally I'll but This Old House magazine or there is one called ( I think ) Cottages and Bungalows. Growing up and then when I was young raising a family I'd always buy Country Living magazine but it's not worth the price anymore....it is far different and more modern than country.
Other than a few magazines here and there I mostly enjoy looking at bloggers decor ! :)
I love your tulips in the silver teapot! Going to have to dig out my silver teapot now and work that into a little vignette!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful inspiration! Your pics are very pretty too!
ReplyDeleteSherry your tulips are beautiful. I have picked this book up several times but now ... I might have to just buy it! :)
ReplyDelete~Liz
I'm always inspired by my fellow bloggers. But I love Romantic Country and Romantic Homes magazine. Thanks so much for linking up at Transformed Tuesday.
