This is such an easy dessert. But I often forget just how good it is until I make it every few years. The guys in the house will talk me into a pie over this, but this is just as good and better for you.
Ingredients:
2 apples
4 pats butter
cinnamon
nutmeg
cinnamon stick (for garnish)
Core your apples and cut in half. Place them in a shallow baking dish lightly oiled. Put 1 pat of butter in the center of the apple and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Place cinnamon stick in the center. Bake for 45 minutes in a preheated 425 degree oven.
Makes 4 servings
Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to Momtrends!
Just searched for baked apples on Pinterest and yours, by far, is the prettiest! We've got some wrinkly apples that no one wants to eat fresh, so I think we may be having this tonight.
