Our Identity in Christ

Our Identity in Christ: The Charm of Home
What is it to have your identity in Christ?

But to all who believed him (Jesus) and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.
                                                                    John 1:12
Our Identity in Christ: The Charm of Home
But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him.
                                                                     1 Corinthians 6:17

Our new God given identity is spiritual.

Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.
                                                                     Ephesians 2:18

For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
                                                                     Romans 8:14

For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God's children. And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God's glory.
                                                                      Romans 8:16-17

Obedience is key to remaining one with Christ.

Jesus replied, "All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them."
                                                                     John 14:23

Nothing can ever separate us.

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow-not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below-indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
                                                                     Romans 8:38

Only Christ can give us our eternal home.
This is our identity in Christ Jesus.

All glory and honor to my Lord Jesus Christ,
Sherry

  3. Hello, I still need to be reminded of these very things! I have been contemplating this portion of truth (Christ being formed in me)

Our position in Christ is secure, but the growing in him is so wonderful!

    Blessings, Roxy
