It is time to refresh our souls for a cup of tea today. The fall color is just about peak here. The maple trees are the prettiest.
My tea mug is Stechcol by Gracie Bone China. The teapot is Price & Kensington. The oak leaf tea towel was from a review I did of tea towels and it came from, All Tea Towels in the UK.
For all of my Tasha Tudor fans, and I know there are a lot of you, this little book is the, The Lord is My Shepherd Twenty-Third Psalm illustrated line-by-line by Tasha Tudor. It is a tiny little book for children. The harvest scenes in it make it fitting for the season.
I opened my childhood bible and inside the front cover is the Twenty-Third Psalm. It brings comfort to so many and is a sharp sword in times of vice.
I bought two tea plants this year, Camellia sinensis, and I have brought them in for winter and they bloomed! I can't believe how fragrant tea is. I never noticed it outside but even the leaves smell amazingly fragrant and the blossoms even more so. It makes a gorgeous house plant.

Sherry,
ReplyDeleteThank you for this beautiful Autumnal Tea post, dear friend!
Returning home from the funeral of my dear cousin, I made a pot of tea, first thing.
The 23rd Psalm is one of great comfort.
"He makes me lie down. . ." speaks to me today in a special way.
Fondly,
Pat
What a lovely post! The little TT book is very sweet and I'm sure brings a lot of comfort when opened and read. Your tea plant is wonderful and I can imagine how fragrant it is.
ReplyDeleteMy son moved to CO last year and is enjoying it. He tells me it is very beautiful there and I'm sure it is. He is hoping to get back to Canada with his next move and I will be very happy when he does. Have a beautiful day, Sherry, and thank you for your visit.
Blessings,
Sandi
