Despite the fall decorations arriving early this year in the stores, it is just now midsummer.
Nothing could portray midsummer more beautifully than the little teacup I won last week in a giveaway by Mary at Home is Where the Boat Is. The butterflies and bee dance across my cup...
and across the saucer too.
“Are you sure
that we are awake? It seems, to me
that yet we sleep, we dream."
~William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night's Dream
The flowers are from my garden, hyssop and snapdragon. Like my new bonsai scissors?
They are very sharp, perfect for cuttings from the garden.
"Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow."
~Psalm 51:7

Sherry, congrats on winning the lovely cup and saucer! Beautiful as always! Pam @ Everyday Living
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! I don't want to see the Fall and Halloween decorations in the stores yet. I simply want to enjoy the remaining days of summer. Nice garden scissors!
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling teacup, Sherry. Congrats on winning it! I have to admit it bugs me when I see the Fall decor in the stores already including Halloween stuff. It's only the first of August after all. I'm savouring every single moment of summer because it does pass so quickly. Thanks for sharing your pretty post and have a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
Congratulations on winning such a lovely tea cup. Who is the maker? I'm tired of seeing Christmas in July too. In fact I seen Christmas items out in June some places.
ReplyDeleteBonjour chère amie,
ReplyDeleteFantastique et toutes mes félicitations ! Cette tasse et sa soucoupe sont magnifiques et elles seront très certainement un joli lien à chaque fois que vous ferez une dégustation...
Gros bisous 🌸
Hi Sherry, that is indeed a very beautiful summery tea cup! I am curious who the maker is.
ReplyDeleteYou styled your photos beautifully!
Warm regards,

This year I cannot wait til fall. We have been having too much heat this summer. The teacup is so cute and I love the little butterflies on it.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Sherry! You and Mary have great taste. Anything from Mary would be a delight. Enjoy your tea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful teacup that you won! I'm not giving up summer until mid-september. I just don't understand why anyone wants to rush a season away....
ReplyDeleteYour tea cup winning is exquisite. How could one fail to be soothed on sipping from it? The scissors are pretty exciting!.....I think I may need a pair like that.
ReplyDeleteThe teacup is by Grace's Teaware.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty teacup! Love the pattern. Your vignette is so comfy and beckoning...would love to have tea with you! Thanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!
