Chocolate Chip Cake

Today I am posting a happy accident.  I created a very simple little wedding cake for my tablescape.
It was really easy.  I just added maybe 2/3 a cup of regular semi-sweet chocolate chips to the batter and then when I iced the layers I made the center layer chocolate.  I would improve on it though, I think it would work better with mini chocolate chips and I would add a whole cup maybe the whole bag.  The mini chips would probably work better because the regular chips sunk to the bottom of the baking pan, which you can see that in this photo.    So, I will try this again and see if my changes would work.  Do you try new twists to regular baking and find whole new combinations for your dishes?

  3. Your room and wedding cake reminds me of Great Expectations on PBS. I watched it on Netflix last night. It was wonderful and a tad spooky, just like your room. :) Love it.

You have inspired me to create my own version of a literary tablescape. It will be up on Halloween day. :)
