Summery Shells

I am eager to get the sea shells out.  I took these pictures a few years ago.  They are just a collection of shells displayed for a more summery feel.

Do you like to put out sea shells for summer decorating?

  1. I have to admit that I have shells out year round, but I think I can get away with it because we live at the beach. Nearly all the shells are collected on our beach.

I love the little sail boat in your vignette.

  2. Great idea to put the shells in an urn - I usually think of putting them in a glass jar. Very pretty :-)

  3. Those look neat. I have these candle holders from Pier 1 that remind me of these. The one with the sea shells gives me inspiration. I've been looking for an idea for mine and this would work!

  4. Your urns are beautiful, especially filled with sea shells. The vignette is an unexpected combo of the urns and shells which makes it so nice.

  6. Love your shells! Since I live on the Gulf Coast of Alabama, I have some of my shells out year round, but bring them out in force for the summer.

  7. One of the things I love when visiting the beach is walking along and collecting shells. They do speak of summer to me,
    Have a great weekend,

  8. Seems I am always gathering shells when I go to the beach and I love the star fish. But I don't have them out all year round, only in the Spring and Summer. Maybe because we're an island? Come Fall I'm ready for a change in decor. Thanks for joining me at my HOME and I hope you're having a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.

    Blessings,
    Sandi
