Sea Glass and Roses

I told you about my roses soon to bloom last week; this week, they are really producing the most beautiful blooms!

I wanted to do a little photo shoot to show off just how beautiful all the roses were.  Inspired by another blogger last week, I decided to use my new bag of sea glass to boost the color in this photo session.  Sea glass on sale now at Walmart, large bag for $4.97.

The star rose is my David Austin rose.  This rose was just planted last year and this year it is full of blooms.

This one is my desktop background.  It is perfect for that with the sea glass down the side where my icons sit.

The cheap Walmart roses aren't too shabby are they.  For $4 a piece they are just as stunning as the DA rose.  I am snap happy with my camera for these gorgeous subjects!

  1. Your pictures turned out great with the use of the sea glass. You have inspired me to head to Walmart tomorrow and get some for myself! Always on the look out for inexpensive and different ways to add some life to old displays this will help for sure.

  2. Your photos are beautiful! We always collect sea glass on the beach during summer vacations at the Jersey shore. This year we'll be at the lake and wouldn't you know it, even Lake Michigan has "lake glass!" We all enjoy collecting it, from the kids to my husband and me. Many memories! And I like to decorate with it, too!

  9. Well, sea glass and fresh flowers...you combined 2 of my favorite things and created something beautiful. Our roses are bursting with blooms, they must like all this rain better than I do!
