I took a picture of my last David Austin rose against the colors of the crab apple twig. I loved the pale summer rose color in contrast to the vibrant fall colors of the crab apple.
Faded and beautiful is the late summer rose.
I used textures on these photos:
#1- urban, soft light 70%
#2- urban, linear burn 47%
#3- urban, linear burn 50%

ReplyDeleteHow lovely...roses are long gone here...thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely flower. It's bittersweet to know it signifies the end of the summer. But I've looked through your blog (love it!) and I see that you are welcoming autumn, too.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I am your newest follower.

How lovely. I am hoping with the upcoming cooler weather to get a few more blooms. Just toooooo hot here in the desert. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I will have to see if my roses are blooming again.
