When the forsythia blooms...

When the forsythia blooms, normally everything isn't blooming along with it.  Our weather has been unusual.  We have the same temperatures as Florida.  It looks like May here and it is still winter.

A field of wildflowers outside of town is a field of purple.  Are you enjoying unusually nice weather?

  1. Same here Sherry! Almost everything has come up in the flowerbeds already Daffs are about to bloom. Usually our weather would be in the 30's! The last few days it has been in the 70's!

  2. The weather has been unusual in New Jersey. I don't know what is going on but one day warm and then cold.

  3. Yes! Very warm here in the neighboring state of GA. I'm not complaining but a little worried what the July temps will be. I've been intending to cut some forsythia branches for indoors. Pretty photos!

  4. Very warm here, too and way too early. Our average high should be around 65, but it is 85.

  6. The weather is so not normal here in Mass. It is 77 today and will be in the 80's closer to the weekend. Makes me nervous as last year we had too many tornado's and I'm afraid this year might be the same. We should still have snow on the grass. Instead we are taking care of the lawn. Crazy..No signs of Forsythia's yet, but the Tulips are coming out of the ground. And the Robins are here. I love spring!

  11. Yes I am! We have a symphony of color around here right now with so many things blooming. I don't know when I've seen so many different colors at once.

Your forsynthia is beautiful to me.

  15. I use the forsythia to know when to put down a lawn fertilizer with a pre-emergent herbicide control on my lawn. Otherwise don't really like them. Your photos are so very beautiful. It's really still winter here, but feels like mid-summer, don't know what to expect as far as weather goes. Thanks so much for sharing your creative inspiration at Sunday's Best.
