It is time to do some new looks for spring around the house. The easiest place to start is on the mantel. I pulled out some brown transferware and added a little forsythia. You know when it is time to prune the roses? When the forsythia blooms. My forsythia is fake.
Here on the mantel, was a great place to put the little spring projects I have been working on.

ReplyDeleteI haven't even gotten my spring things out. I have been so focused on getting things done in my creative space that all else has been forgotten! I finally had to vacuum and dust as it was looking mighty bad in the rest of the house!
Looks really pretty and "springy", Sherry. I love using nests and little eggs for spring decor, too. Here in northern IL, it's still cold with snow on the ground, so I'm still not completely ready to drag out all my spring decor!

The only sprucing up I'll be doing is vacuuming up drywall dust, so I'll just have to enjoy looking at your spring mantel! I did find a brown transferware plate with a farm scene the other day. I have no idea where I'll display it yet, but I'm sure I can find a spot. Yours look lovely on your mantel.

I love the Aesthetic Movement platter as well but the little trio of dishes holding the bird eggs is just adorable, and forsythia (fake or not) has always been a favorite of mine. You did a lovely job arranging this! It makes me want to snoop around the rest of your house and see all the pretties! =)

Beautifully displayed vignette. Love the transferware with the soft glow of the mercury glass candles and then you added the perfect touch of Spring by adding the birds nest and sweet eggs. Love it,
