Some Vintage Cheer

I found a vintage table runner back in December while shopping the antique stores for Christmas.  I really liked the colors in it, they seemed so cheerful.

It is in great shape and seems to be begging for a summer tablescape.

Right now it will have to wait patiently while we spruce it up for spring.  The mug is Lenox, Opal Innocence Carved.

Have you made any great vintage finds lately?

  3. I have a huge love of vintage linens. I actually prefer them over anything new. This one would have totally jazzed me too. I love the colors.

My most recent treasure is a set of tea cups from our antique mall. They have Paul Revere's Ride on them. I love it.

  23. Very pretty. I love vintage linens, although I rarely use the ones I have. I finally took one of my mother-in-law's colorful smaller tablecloths and folded it over the handle on my stove. It makes me happy to see it brighten the kitchen.

  26. That's a great find Sherry. The colors and patterns sure yell "Happy", don't they? I have wanted a vintage tablecloth or table runner like this for some time, but when I find them locally they are either terribly stained or extremely overpriced. I'm sure I'll hit on the perfect one someday. Thanks for sharing your vintage piece at my party.
