French Inspired Thursday

I was most inspired by Carolyn Westbrook's book The French Inspired Home.  I had a whole post about it here.  In her book Mrs. Westbrook used a mirror as a tray and I really liked it and have been wanting to try it.  I found this mirror with a very nautical look and thought I would try it.

I gave this mirror a makeover in this post.  I found this mirror at the thrift store on clearance for $1.

    I love the shells and candles on the glass tray.

    Gorgeous job! ... atray was my guess ... but I didn't voice it outloud, so I guess it doesn't count ; ) ... really, really pretty ... and seashells are the perfect touch!

    Sherry I love to use mirrors like this. Amazing the white paint on it and adding the candles and shells...its gorgeous!

    Hi Sherry, that beautiful design, perfect combination, because as you said the mirror with nautical details, such as the rope will go perfectly with the candles in that color, and details of the sea. Greetings, Rose Marie

    Great pictures, now I want to go to the beach, the mirror is just fabulous, I like how the flame from the candles reflects from the mirror.
