Autumn Bliss

Every leaf speaks bliss to me,
Fluttering from the autumn tree.
Emily Bronte

October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came -
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.
George Cooper

One of my favorite metamorphosis of the year is when trees show their true colors.

The song True Colors originally released by Cyndi Lauper in 1986 has been recently used on a popular American TV show Glee.  Glee is a show about a high school Glee club and the competitions and comedy-drama that ensues.   The Glee version is really nice, I just have to sing with it.

Your pictures are beautiful! I love the poems, too.

Would you believe I am probably the only person in the world that has not seen Glee? I really liked hearing the song though!

This was such a beautiful and reflective post, Sherry. The images are I wish it was Fall over here all over again!

I must confess that I am like Jane and have also not watched Glee. I am too addicted to blogging to find the time to watch TV these days!

Thanks so much for joining in with Sunday Song and linking up this lovely post!

Bets wishes always,

I must confess, I am very jealous of your fall foliage! I live in Florida and there are no reds, oranges or browns in my trees... just palms and coconuts :) Beautiful photos!

What a pretty fall you all are having. Here in Southern Ohio we are in severe drought conditions. We are over 8" below in rain fall. Our fall leaves went from gold to brown to fallen down. :(
