A Tea for May

When I think of May I think of all the flowers and trees finally being in bloom.  I think of certain flowers associated with May and Lily of the Valley is one of them.
I have this tea cup and saucer that has Lily of the Valley on it.  I only have the one but, it is so pretty I wanted to set it in a little tea by itself.  Possibly for Mom for Mother's Day or just for yourself to curl up with a new magazine and read.
A little closer look at the cup and saucer.
It has Adderley made in England on the bottom.
This is from Ebay.
I also made a plate of strawberry bread, a recipe from my Aunt.
The plate also has Lily of the Valley on it.
The plate is marked Royal China the pattern is called Golden Valley.
I also found this on Ebay.
I love it when my ferns have come up in spring they are so green and lush.
The tea pot has a great shape it was marked Hotel Balfour Ceramic.
I got it at TJMaxx.
Thank you for joining me for a little tea.

I just love Tea on Trays! I adore Lilly of the Valley so much! Ours has quit blooming. The napkin, the tray and wonderful tea cup and saucer! Strawberry bread with the pansy! I could take this out on the porch and just enjoy! Now, I want to know about your fern, I can't seem to get them to live. Shade fern? The leaf looks so much like the native ferns I had. I'm going to my daughters and see if I can find some more. I also just love your new teapot! White goes with everything! lol I now have two white and one cream teapots. Thank you for sharing your lovely tray, and you should have shared your recipe for the strawberry bread it looks so delicious! Thank You for joining me for Tea Time Tuesday!

One of my favorite flowers! Because they took over a huge area in the yard of our old house, hubby says I can't plant them here :-(

Just beautiful! Lily of the valley is my favorite springtime fragrant flower. In French it is called "Muguet". They even wrote a song about it: Il est revenu le temps du muguet! I'm sure you can hear it on You Tube. Its really beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
