Dining Al Fresco

I will be joining Laurie at her site Bargain Hunting and Chatting with Laurie for My Favorite Things.  With the weather having turned beautiful early this year I found myself imagining all the possibilities of dining outside. There is really no end to the ways it could be done.
Image from
Is it the location that makes it fantastic?
Image from
We probably do dine outside the most on vacation.
Image from
Or possibly for a reception for one thing or another.

But, you can take yourself away to a place with the table setting.
Image from by Tricia Foley
You could pop a tent and take yourself away on safari.
Image from
You could pretend you were in Venice, Italy.
Image from
Maybe you are somewhere that looks like Nappa.
Image from
There really are no limits to what you can do.
Image from
Maybe the food makes it delightful.
Or the drama added by the lighting.

For whatever reason I love dining outside in the summer.
Thank you Laurie for hosting.

I just love all of these beautiful pictures! Even though we are approaching winter here I will still have lots of shells and beachy things around the place. Thanks for sharing these great ideas.

Best wishes,

One of the best dinner parties that my roommates and I hosted was one where we had more guests than we expected - we set our table on the floor, loaded it with candles, and had an amazing time. Love these photos! -diane

Sherry, what fabulous inspiration pictures! Every picture you selected is so dreamy. I still love the table you did with the cigar roller candle holder. It looked as pretty as any of these others you posted. Thank you for this beautiful contribution to Favorite Things. laurie

Lovely inspiration photos! Eating outside is one of our favorite things since we got a screened porch and don't have to worry about bugs!

Hi Sherry....thanks for visiting today. I love a beautiful table on a long as it isn't too hot, which unfortunately soon it will be here. But we enjoy it most of the year! Have a great weekend.
