However, after knowing Jesus, they aren't done to attain salvation, but motivated out of love for what we already have through Him. We do need to be obeying the teachings of the New Test. as followers of Jesus. The book of James really drives this point home. We believe AND obey (follow) Jesus and his teachings. Yet it is a truth - that there's nothing we can DO that will EARN us salvation. This is a topic that has been gone round and round on for all of Christiandom. I just know where I come out on it.
