Autumn Mornings

Do you start your morning with a hot steaming cup of your favorite beverage?

I discovered a new green tea and I really enjoy it.  It is called Kukicha tea.

This green tea is considered the Japanese peasant's tea, because after all of the green tea leaves were sold the remaining leaves and twigs from the tea plant were combined to create this tea.  It is very mild and naturally low in caffeine.

On these autumn mornings I am sipping my hot tea and scouring vintage cookbooks for Christmas recipes.
What are you doing with your autumn mornings?
The teacup is made by Spode the pattern is Blue Italian.

Lovely images, Sherry. I noticed the steam rising from your tea...is that photoshopped, or is it real? I love your little cow creamer. I have one too but mine is plain white. I found it interesting that your green tea is darker in color than green teas usually are. Enjoyed your post today!

Hi, Sherry. Yep, I can't start my day without my morning cup of hot tea! I'm a chai lover, myself. Maybe it's the caffine that I crave, you think? :) Love the blue cup/saucer, too! Have fun cooking up some Christmas goodies!

My mornings begin with a mug of hot coffee and tea comes later in the afternoon. Pretty blue and white china, soon I will be perusing magazines as well for ideas.

Bonjour,

Tout comme vous je sirote mon thé en me levant et je me lève tôt, donc une bonne théière est nécessaire !
Je bois le matin du thé fumé.
Gros bisous à vous et bonne journée.

Hi Sherry,
My mornings always begin with a big mug of coffee. I drink my tea later through out the day and evening. Love your pretty blue and white china. The cow creamer is adorable! I am getting my Christmas books and magazines out too. Thank you for sharing with Tea Time and enjoy your day.

Blessings,
Sandi

Thanks for all of your responses as to what was in your cup! That was fun to read. Beth the steam was real coming off of my cup in the sunshine. I did Photoshop a texture on the photos though.
Hugs,
Sherry

Sherry,

Your autumn morning tea is very tempting to a converted coffee drinker! Coffee never seems to take on the elegance that tea does and your setting and steamy cup here today, are yet another example of this charming serenity.

Dear Sherry,
I love your vignette and always love blue and white. The steam swirling in the first picture is really neat.

Pretty blue and white vignette. Of course, you can't beat Spode for classical beauty. I drink green tea, but I'm not familiar with Kukicha. I'll check it out. Thanks for the tip, and for hosting.

Beautiful blue dishes Sherry. I love the feel of Autumn mornings. I don't sip tea often. I still love a cold Diet Coke. My youngest daughter loves green tea. She has to sweeten it with honey. She loves her honey! Maybe that's why she is so sweet. lol! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
