Strawberry Banana Bread

I make strawberry bread a lot for the children.  This week I made it as Strawberry Banana Bread.  I usually don't make it with bananas but, the kids loved it and it is a nice change.  It makes a good breakfast, dessert, or snack.  Of all the quick breads I make this one disappears the fastest.

Strawberry Banana Bread

Ingredients:
3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 cups sugar
4 eggs (beaten)
1 1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 cups sliced strawberries
1 banana (mashed)

Sift together dry ingredients.  Combine remaining ingredients and make a well in the dry ingredients and add the wet ingredients.  Stir enough to moisten.  Pour in two greased and floured loaf pans.  Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
Makes 2 loaves

Je connais la fille d'un ami qui adorerait votre recette étant une grande fan de bananes !

Une gourmandise incontournable que celle que vous nous proposez! Merci!
Gros bisous à vous.

What a great combination -- the strawberries and the banana would make this super moist I'm guessing. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Hi Sherry,

Gee, I haven't made strawberry bread for years. I'd forgotten about it. The recipe I have is one I've had since high school. That was back in 19- well never mind! ~smile~

I'm going to read some more of your posts now. I enjoyed visiting you at The Charm of Home.

Thanks for visiting Harvest Lane Cottage,
Laura

Sherry, this sounds just wonderful. I wish I had a loaf of it right now for my MIL who we are trying to tempt to eat. It's an uphill battle, but she loves pound cake. This would be delicious.

Thanks for sharing with us.

XO,

Sheila
