A Hint of Spring

I couldn't help but find a hint of Spring this week at our local farm store.  Violets and pansies have arrived and I happen to be there when they put them out.  I don't have any purple teacups.  The cups I have pictured on here before for violet teas I have given away for gifts.  This teacup is by Domestications the pattern is Athena.

Valentine's Day was the same week as Mardi Gras and St. Patrick's Day, the first day of spring, and Easter are all in the same week; and that is only four weeks away!  Whew, I thought last year flew by.  We'll be blogging about summer in 5-6 weeks!
Some luck for you, a real pressed four leaf clover mounted and framed in my Etsy shop.
I am ready for spring!

Sherry, your tea cup is very pretty. Sometimes you do not need anything more than simple white.

I am so ready for Spring too, Sherry! We have a snow storm going on right now and I am longing for the end of this white stuff! Pretty violets and a charming teacup. Thank you for joining me for tea today and I'm glad you're on the mend. I'm not quite there yet.

Blessings and hugs,
Sandi

I am so ready for spring myself and can hardly wait for the smiling faces of pansies at our garden centres. Of course that won't be for a couple of months.

Love the teacup and the flowers. I wish I felt some spring feeling in Northern Jersey. Tired of the winter now .

I just bought some pretty pansies at the grocery store -- just love that pop of color on these dreary days! I love your framed four-leaf clover -- I don't think I've ever found a real one but maybe I'll create a 'fake' one somehow because I love the idea!

I guess we all too often want to hurry things along and not enjoy the moment...but when it is cold and dreary, there is nothing better than Spring flowers that puts a smile on your face...Four leaf clovers are so special in our household as St. Patrick's Day is my granddaughter's birthday..!

Violet tea? I haven't heard of that but am going to look it up right away. Sounds like you might have previous posts about it. I can imagine that it is heavenly! Enjoy your photos and think your white tea cup set is charming ( but you have my permission to buy a purple tea cup to keep for yourself, hee-hee.)

Sherry,
Love the tea cup.....I own a "few" of them myself....
The cups actually are/were made by American Atelier and the style is Athena, as you said. Domestications carried them for awhile, so some do have the Domestications mark on them. When the economy crashed, American Ateleir stopped producing these dishes along with their Baroque version which blends so beautifully with the Athena dishes. I have never had "nice" dishes before, and when I saw these in Domestications, I fell in love...I was able to acquire quite a few pieces before they became nearly "extinct". They can be found on Replacements, Ltd., and some on ebay and they are quite high priced. So, if you haven't given them all away as gifts, you might look to see what is still available....I just found, after all this time, the 13 inch bowl on a pedastal...I love it, and had to pay more than I would have liked, but that was the one piece I really wanted and hadn't been able to find for two years.
Just LOVE your teacups!
Betsy
