Savouring Summer Tea

I wonder what it would be like to live in a world where it was always June.

I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens, but just those that bring simple little pleasures, like pearls slipping off a string.

Are you taking a  moment to savor summer?
The teacup is Fair Winds by Alfred Meakin.

Yes...today we had a day just to do that!! The weather stayed dry and the sun shone. We have had so much rain this June that it is just wonderful to have sun and therefore we just needed to be outside!! Loved the flowers and the tray etc! Joan

Delightful tea and post. LOVE L.M. Montgomery -- great quotes - and Tess of the d'Urbervilles -- read the book and then saw the Masterpiece Theatre version.

Blessings!

Hello Sherry,
What a lovely tea! I love LM Montgomery's quotes! Actually I am planning an Anne Tea one of these weeks and Montgomery's quotes would be perfect for that! Your Meakin cup and saucer is really sweet. A perfect Summer post! Thank you for coming to my party and have a delightful week.

What I would do right now for a cup of tea and some Thomas Hardy! Thank you for the reminder that there is more to savoring summer than eating Otter Pops :).

OH I love that quote you used -- saving that! I simply ADORE summer (and DESPISE winter!) so even now, when it's mid-90's and humid . . . I bask and in it. Even driving yesterday (with no working A.C. in my car) I felt so pleased to feel the warmth of the sun! Beautiful post and lovely pictures!

What a lovely post! It's still so cool here that I haven't had a chance to savour yet but I am hoping it will warm up soon!
