An Irish Tea

A helping of green with a lot of white for St. Patrick's Day today.

The teacup is Wedgwood.

The little tea set I found at TJ Maxx last year.  There is no marking on it.

A couple of Irish sayings for you:

Many a sudden change takes place on a spring day.

Marriages are all happy. It's having breakfast together that causes all the trouble.

Those dainty clovers on your tea set are so cute! I'd probably use this set all spring, not just for St. Patrick's Day. I always love seeing your pretty tea sets Sherry, so thanks for linking them to my party!

Now that's just plain lovely. I love the subtle white teacup with the shamrock edging. So classy, especially with your linen.

And I enjoyed your Irish sayings, too.

What a lovely teacup and tea setting! Those sayings are funny!
May flowers always line your path and sunshine light your day.
May songbirds serenade you every step along the way.
May a rainbow run beside you in a sky that's always blue.
And may happiness fill your heart each day your whole life through.

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Linda

I had to laugh over the second quote. My husband and I seldom have breakfast together as he is out of the house very early. Maybe that's why we are still together!
