Tablescaping

I have been wanting to play with these dishes for awhile.  I love the colors and the pattern play in them.  They beg for some retro accessories, like an old milk bottle...

and a red check diner tablecloth.

French pressed glass thrown in for a bistro spin.
All dishes and pressed glass from TJ Maxx.

Join Tablescape Thursday over at Susan's Between Naps on the Porch to get your tablescaping fix.   Many lovely ideas shared there.
Also, at Open House Thursday at No Minimalist Here.

Sherry, these dishes are totally charming. I've admired them on several occasions and had to restrain myself from letting them come home with me. They have such a cottage feel. I just love them! Your table shows them off perfectly. The red check cloth is the perfect textile for these. ~ sarah

Sherry, love the photos on this -- the black background is so effective. The little table set up is so charming and the dishes to die for (especially, the inside of the bowl). Joni

So pretty -- I saw these and talked myself out of them. Now I am sorry I did. Charming!

I so love these dishes. I too bought a version of them and have been using them as my breakfast dishes. Your post reminds me that I have yet to do a post with them. I think they're great and have a very Cath Kidston touch to them. Wonderful with the red gingham cloth and light dancing across the table.

I love your dishes and vignette! I agree, they do beg for a retro setting. Looks like I need to stop by TJMaxx on my way home from work tonight to see if they still have those dishes!
