In the fragrant vernal days
Is the Lily of the Valley
With its soft, retiring ways.

Beautiful! Looks washed by rain. Perfect for Spring!

This teacup is gorgeous as the lily of the valley itself ! This post is simply "the Return of Happiness" as for some that is what the lily symbolizes!

Sherry, my mom used to have a bed of Lillies of The Valley in my back yard and I loved them as a girl. I used to cut them and put them in a vingegar cruet. Your teacup is so unusual, as well as your tea pot -- so very pretty! Joni

Stunning photography! I have the cup and saucer. When I grew up outside of Albany, NY, my grandmother's home, next to ours, had an abundance of lily of the valley and I so loved the delicate blossoms. You have capture the essence of that is your photography. Simply breathtaking beauty captured through the lens of your camera. You inspire me. Blessings.

Oh, Sherry! Lilly of the Valley!! (their meaning) "A return to happiness". I just love them. They were plentiful in springtime where I grew up in northern New Jersey. I took them for granted then, but now miss their sweet aroma and beauty.

I'm glad to see your cup, and you photographed it so beautifully 'washed in white".

Thank you for the fond memories, and have a happy, happy day,
Marianne
