Lace Plates

I have been seeing plates Mod Podged with lace and I have been wanting to give it a try.  So, today I took two little white plates and gave them a generous coat of Mod Podge and then saturated the lace doily with Mod Podge and applied it to the plate.  Topping off with another coat of Mod Podge.  They could hang on the wall or sit on the shelf.  They have a very vintage look about them.

OMG!! (thats what us horribly old, but young at heart say) How clever these plates are. I don't think we have "Mod podge" here in New Zealand, but, I am gonna try and finds something else instead, maybe some paint texturising stuff would do it. I'm sure you can't eat off them so I will give it a go on some large serving plates to make chargers. Thanks so much for the inspiration. jo x

How pretty they are! And putting two of my favorite things together. Plates and lacy doilies!

I haven't seen this done before. I like the combination of the ecru lace with the white plate.

Sherry, These plates are just so charming! I love the lace vintage look. Wouldn't they look so pretty on a wrought iron plate rack. Just dreaming!
