Brocante Style

French flea market (brocante) style is very appealing.  I haven't ever been to France but, I have stared at these images for so long on blogs and in magazines I decided it was time to try the look.

I was timid about this French style.  It has a reverence about it.  I am sure it is all the religious artifacts used when styling this look.  It seems to be popular for a reason.  The beauty of the images; religious artifacts and white, seem to bring comfort.  The radiance of this style draws you in for a moment of peace.
I just used things I owned to copy the look of French brocante, nothing is authentic.
garden statuary: already owned
china: is English by Creative-Tops

I absolutely love the way you draped the rosary around the statuary. You certainly captured the French style with the monochromatic color scheme. Beautiful tablescape!

Guess who hasn't even heard of that style? Yep. Me. I love it. It does, indeed, have a reverence to it. I love the centerpiece with the statue and the rosary. That's really lovely. For lack of a better word, it's "quiet".

Beautiful.

Sherry, I think you did a wonderful job! Love what you did here. It is just stunning! That angel is the perfect centerpiece, and I like the way you have draped her in the rosary beads. I think you nailed this one, my friend! Cute plates, too. I shot a French tablescape (or my version) some time back, and seeing yours made me remember it. Maybe I'll get around to posting it for Valentine's Day or not. ;-)

Happy Tablescape Thursday...

XO,

Sheila :-)
