Santa, I Have Been Good

I don't have a lot of holiday dishes, but I found these little salad-sized plates and I immediately pictured this table around them.

Meant for cookies for Santa, I had a different take of the message on the plate.

How about a wife that has been good "treating Santa" to a special candlelight dinner for two under the Christmas tree.

The wife receives two dozen roses and a gift.  Now there really isn't a present in the box; but the roses I did get from my husband, celebrating 20 years from the day we met.

Having a little fun creating a story around the tablescape.  Thanks for joining me.

I love it! I'm always impressed when someone can create something wonderful from thrift store finds. I would love those dishes too.

Plus, I think the idea of the candlelight dinner in front of the tree is so romantic, and I LOVE to get flowers from my husband.

This whole post scored big with me!

Congratulations on 20 years! What beautiful roses you received and they certainly made for a beautiful centerpiece. I loved the soft light of the tree as a backdrop for the romantic table for two. Hope you had a wonderful time! Now I want to set up a table for two by the tree or the fireplace and put a gift in the box to say thank you to Mr. Claus!
