Christmas Tea Vignette

Very much inspired by Victoria magazine, my Christmas tea takes us back in time.

It takes us back in time to the Victorian age, the time of Dickens.

Let us have a visit to Christmas in Merry Old England.

And for what I can't accomplish with my Christmas tea, Victoria takes us the rest of the way there.  The issue that inspired me December 1994.

Sherry, I am a huge Victoria fan... and a tartan fan too!
YOu have put together a spot of tea that I would love to sit right down to. There is something so elegent about a white tea pot and a lovely plaid cloth. And scones... I LOVE scones! I am making eggnog scones this weekend. Doesn't that sound divine? Just like your little tea table by the tree, divine!

Your photos and tea setting are awesome. I went back over the pics twice. I don't know if you were a photographer before but these are great. The victorian setting is so suited to Christmas and you have interpreted it with great flair. Love the china and the tablecloth. You really captured the spirit of traditional Christmas. Hugs, Ginger

Oh, this is so gorgeous! My niece got married this year and their color scheme was plaid. It was so wonderful. Your table is just perfect. I especially love the tablecloth. It looks just like a car blanket my father had when I was growing up. I always love it when book finds its way to a tablescape. Lovely, Sherry!

Sherry, this tea vignette is beautiful. It could be a magazine photo shoot for Victoria. It looks so inviting and warm. Your tree looks beautiful, and the plaid tablecloth, the pewter candle holder, the key in the book - it's all a perfect vignette, and I'm so glad you linked it to Favorite Things. laurie
