A Taste of Fall

Now I know some of you are not ready to hear this, but fall is around the corner.  Yikes! I know.  I register the kids for school in less than a week.  The days are already getting shorter and the apple trees are getting some color.   So, for some of us who get excited by fall (that's me), I just couldn't help myself.  I had to do a fall colored table.  The catalogs are coming too, with all the fall tablescapes!  Can you tell this is my favorite season and the only one I have yet to blog about.  So, enough talk, here is my taste of fall.

The star of this table is my new lantern I reviewed for CSN Stores. Click here to read that review.
It is a double candle lantern.  With plenty of room to decorate around the candles.

Just look at the curved glass sides!!  Oh, okay I'm moving on.  I kinda like this lantern can you tell?
Lantern provided by CSN Stores.  Click link to view all of their great online stores for your fall needs.
Goblets by Icon Glassware pattern Capri.
Dinner and salad plates by Hotel Balfour.
Flatware vintage.
Napkins vintage.
Table runner vintage.
Wine jug vintage.
I will join Style Sisters for Centerpiece Wednesday at the blog The Style Sisters.
I will join Susan for Tablescape Thursday at her site Between Naps on the Porch.
I will join Gina for Transformation Thursday at The Shabby Chic Cottage.
I will also join Cindy for Show and Tell Friday at My Romantic Home.
And, Inspired by Fridays at The Inspired Room.
Please go over and check out all of the lovely things going on.

This could put me in the mood to welcome fall, as well as our 'flip me over, I'm done on this side' heat wave.

Beautiful!

Have a lovely summer's eve ~

Lovely table you've created.
God bless and won't the apples be delicious,

Very pretty! Love the lantern! I'm also using those dishes, but mine are in butterscotch, I love it in all the colors offered! My TT is also kinda fallish!

I like the way the knives are displayed!

Fall is my favorite season, except it leads into winter! This year it has been so hot that fall will be even more welcome. Your table has a quiet elegance...the lantern is beautiful and the apples are a great touch.

Sherry,
what an adorable little table. The apples remind me to paradise. I love the vintage table runner, such a nice patetrn. And the lantern is pretty, too. That adds so nicely a bright color. Thank you for sharing your beautiful table.

I saw rows and rows of pumpkins and other fall decor at a store this last week. A little too early for me, but your table is lovely. Fall will be here before we all know it. ~ Sarah

Beautiful tablescape! I am so ready for fall, it's my favorite too! Love how you put the napkins in the ern. Are they wrapped around vintage spools? Such a clever idea. Have a great weekend.

I am so looking forward to Fall which is my favorite season of the year other than Christmas!!
This summer broke a lot of records in my area as far as high temps. I am no lover of heat so I have spent most of the summer indoors in the air
conditioning!!
I am so looking forward to cooler temps. And I love decorating for Autumn!!

Oh, Sherry! I LOVE this!

I think that I have a lantern thing, too. They're wonderful. They speak of so many things - coziness, home, light (duh, but do you know what I mean?) - they carry the whole feeling of the light that leads us on to the place that we want to be. Plus, they're a whole little world unto themselves. Aaannd, I love things behind glass, don't you. It's the same with a votive candle or a cloche or those wonderful lamps from Pottery Barn that one can put a little vignette in.

You must have been visited by the Autumn muse. Your photos are so beautiful and pick up so many wonderful details. Again, I love the plates, all of the glasses - the berries are a perfect touch - the runner - the apples on the plate. The whole post is just lovely. OKAY, now I am triply inspired and MUST go do something!

What an encouragement! The boys are off to school and I have been a little bit lost. You've swung me right into "have fun with my home" mode.

Thanks ever so much!

Love, Katy xxo
